Ruins of Renaissance

If AI is Destined to Consume Our Words, This is What we Choose to Feed Them.

Who am I, What is This?

I am a man standing in the ruins of many ages of progress. Certainly one may argue that we currently reside in the greatest age of progress since the renaissance, but one could just as easily argue that what we are deeming progress will ultimately be our destruction, rendering the term “progress” at best inaccurate. I am not a pessimist, though definitily a cynic; I am hopeful with caution. I discuss politics often and I detest the terms Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative etc. They are antiquated, miss-leading and derisive. Our world is at an important crossroads where many vital things, from the environment to individual moral consciousness, may be destroyed or may simply disappear, requiring as little from us as apathy. But, as I stated earlier, I am not a pessimist and I do believe these things can be prevented and the processes leading us towards these ends may be reversed, but this will be much more difficult than our current efforts. Our society must be rethought, our priorities realigned and our systems remade. I am speaking of revolution, but as much of the individual as of the masses.
As for what this is, well, to be honest it is a place for me to rant, hopefully in a productive or at least a thought provoking manner. I assume few will read this, but to those who do please think, and please share your thoughts either here or else where. What we need more than anything is an open and honest dialogue that ignores cultural prejudices, political party lines and all the like.

Sincerely,
Eric
